About the Role
We are seeking a GIS Executive to join our team. In this role, you will be crucial in creating, managing,
and analyzing geographic data to support diverse projects. You will use GIS technologies to develop accurate
maps, perform spatial analysis, and integrate data from various sources, ensuring precision and quality.
This position is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of spatial data concepts
who can work both independently and collaboratively.
Requirements and Skills
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, Environmental Science, or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
- Experience: Proven experience in GIS data management and spatial analysis.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of spatial data concepts, including projections, coordinate systems, and geoprocessing techniques.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous focus on data accuracy and quality.
- Communication: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to explain technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Good to Have: Knowledge of CAD drafting, basic graphics, and software like Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and update various types of maps, including thematic, topographic, and digital elevation models (DEMs).
- Integrate data from sources such as GPS surveys, aerial imagery, and field observations.
- Organize, manage, and validate spatial data to ensure quality and consistency.
- Perform land use and land cover GIS map digitization on satellite imagery.
- Assist in database management and spatial data visualization.
- Collaborate with internal teams to support projects requiring geospatial expertise.
- Prepare reports, documentation, and visual presentations for clients and stakeholders.
